"When my first child was born in 1994, I felt overwhelmed and unsure of myself as a mother. The world of babies and breastfeeding was completely foreign to me, and I lacked family in the area to show me the ropes. Fortunately, I hired a postpartum doula whose guidance and support helped build my confidence as a mother, while also planting the seed for my future career!

As the owner of FIRST DAZE & NIGHTZzz^TM, I offer valuable support and guidance to my clients. I am well-versed in working with families with multiples, and have extensive personal and professional experience in lactation education through my training and work with La Leche League International. I worked as a Lactation Support Volunteer at WakeMed, and volunteered as a mentor in the Welcome Baby program through Safechild of Wake County. I also worked with WIC mothers in South Florida. In addition, I am skilled in working with mothers with postpartum mood disorders. I live in Cary, North Carolina with my husband and two children."

FIRST DAZE & NIGHTZzz^TM provides services to Wake County families. 

FEES & PAYMENT

Hourly rates for postpartum services are typically $20-$25 per hour.

Please contact us for information on baby sleep consulting packages and fees. 

Cash, check and credit cards are accepted. (Credit card payments may be made securely online through Pay Pal.) Insurance and/or flex accounts may cover the cost of postpartum doula services, breastfeeding education and sleep consulting. We will issue you a receipt so you may submit it for reimbursement.

Families with limited budgets may find low cost support or support from volunteers through the following organizations:
